When Megan is not helping families, she is spending time with her husband and two young boys. Megan loves reading for both pleasure and knowledge and owns a bakery. She loves to travel and spend time with her family, playing card games, puzzles and board games.

Here is a quote from Megan as to why she wanted to become a Lactation Consultant:

“When my first son was born in 2016, I wanted to breastfeed, but had so many challenges. He was losing weight, we were in excruciating pain and it was anything but easy.  I sought out help from many lactation consultants, until finally after 11 weeks of painful breastfeeding, 1 lactation consultant suggested I have my son get an oral assessment. After learning my son had tight oral tissues (tongue and lip ties), I dove into all the learning I could. I knew I wanted to support families that were struggling and didn’t know where to find help and answers. Being an IBCLC helped me have the knowledge to serve families all over and with my new son in 2020.”
